Snow White

It was a special day at school on Friday, March 6th. The kids could dress up as their favorite story book character. Unfortunately, Bracken was sick that day, but Bailey dressed up as Snow White. She looked beautiful!!

Brooklyn is 6 months old!!

I don't know where the last 6 months + have gone, but my new baby is now 6 months old. I am attempting to become a better photographer, but not having a lot of luck. I guess I need to take a class. Anyway, here are some pictures of Brooklyn at 6 months old. (Including one of her mad face, I couldn't resist!)

Kids Day Out

Well I was hoping to do a better job keeping my Blog current, but I'm a little behind. Anyway some days I feel like all the kids ever see us do is work! I thought we needed to have some fun. So on March 4th the kids were out of school, we took off and went to Ogden to run some errands and have a fun day out. We started at The Teddy Bear Stuff'n Factory in the mall. The kids had such a great time. They had a hard time deciding which animal they were going to stuff, but finally came to a decision. Bracken stuffed a German Shepherd and Bailey stuffed a Unicorn. And then of course we had to dress them. Now talk about tough decisions!!! Anyway as you can see from the pictures it was a success.

So after a great time stuffing animals (and a stop at Costco of course), off we went to the new Chuck E. Cheese in Layton. The kids were so excited. But it was funny because before we went in I gave them the lecture about how germy places like this were and to try and be careful, etc. We walked in the door and Bracken says "I already feel disgusting." But the disgusting feeling was soon forgotten and a great time was had. It was 2 hours of good entertainment for 10 bucks. Can't beat that!!



Brooklyn was a trooper, being drug all over the place. She hung in there and after a long, fun-filled day we headed for home. It was such a great day not only for the kids, but for me too. It was nice getting out and having some fun with them. They are the light of my life.

Okay, here we go!

I can't resist anymore. I enjoy looking at everyone else's blog so much that I have to create one! I figure it's also a good way to "journal", since I never do that. Not to mention it's so much fun to show off the kiddos! So here goes!

Brooklyn is our newest addition. She is currently 5 1/2 months old. She was born at home (ouch!!) in September 2008. 8 lbs 5 ounces and BREECH!! She is a joy to have as part of our little (or not so little anymore) family. She is a great baby and has quite a sense of humor! Her brothers and sister really crack her up.


Bailey is 5 years old and is in Kindergarten this year. She is extremely smart and is at the top of her class, which is quite an accomplishment as she is the very youngest member of her class. She is Miss Personality and is quite the Drama Queen. But we love her and our family just wouldn't be the same without her. She is definitely "Daddy's Girl" and has him wrapped! She is quite the little artist. This drawing I have posted is inspired by my mom and Walt's trip they are currently on. Mom has been sending us pictures of seals, sea lions, penguins, etc. Take note of all of Bailey's creatures including the "Baby Seal by the rock".






Bracken is 7 years old and is in 1st Grade this year. He too is at the top of his class, reading on a 4th Grade level. He is always a teacher's favorite and definitely a "Momma's Boy". He is a fantastic big brother to his 2 sisters and takes good care of them. He puts up with a lot of drama, let me tell you. He's a computer whiz and as his cousin Bubba says "When it comes to electronics, that kid knows his stuff!". He is a natural at playing soccer and is looking forward to Spring Soccer and then baseball this summer. He is the kind of kid that makes a parent really proud.


Mack just turned 12 years old, in the 6th Grade, and has become quite the young man. Where have the last 12 years gone? He lives with his mom so we don't get to see him as often as we like, but we sure do enjoy the time we get with him. His brother and sisters really love him and look forward to the times he is with us. He is a good student and a good brother. He is really into skateboarding and is really good at it. He is also very interested in snowboarding and just got one for his birthday. My guess is that he'll be a natural! He plays baseball and football during the summer and is quite the athlete!!

So I am falling in love with Photoshop and Digital Scrapbooking. I find myself spending way too much time on it. I am certainly a beginner (as you can tell) but hopefully as I get better, I will get faster too. If only the days were a little longer. I guess there are worse things to be addicted to (like Diet Coke, I'm addicted to that too). I hope you all don't mind me posting my creations. Hopefully you'll see some improvement as I come along!
